At Suncoast, we believe that our children are our greatest treasure.
That's why we wanted you to meet some of the kids who are part of the Suncoast family. Each of these special young souls took the time to personally share with us just how grateful they were to receive help from the Suncoast For Kids Foundation.
Here are their stories.

“My Dream, My Home”
The Suncoast for Kids Foundation has partnered with the Guadalupe Center of Immokalee, FL to help fulfill their mission of breaking the cycle of poverty through education. Heidi is a tutor at the Guadalupe Center who believes that Suncoast has made a difference in both her life, and the lives of the children from her home.

“Thank You for Caring”
Suncoast believes that there is no greater sight than to see a child grow wings and soar to new heights in pursuit of their dreams, and there is no greater reward than to hear a child say ‘thank you’ for helping them learn to fly.

“Around the World in a Pizza Box.”
Like all great teachers, Joyce Cordell wants the best for her students. This year she engaged her second grade class in a creative project that combined arts, crafts and research in a way that made learning geography and social studies fun. Mrs. Cordell had the idea and the passion, but she needed funding to bring her idea to life. Through the Suncoast for Kids Grant Program, Mrs. Cordell was able to apply for the funding to make this creative project a reality for her students.

“Our Country's Future Leaders.”
Lt. Col. Paul Garrah believes that his students in Golden Gate High School Junior ROTC class are among the finest our country has to offer. That’s why he wanted to take these standout achievers from Naples, Florida to Washington DC in the Spring of 2009. The trip was sure to be memorable, but the cost was a challenging obstacle. The Suncoast for Kids Foundation Grants Program made it possible.
